Deutsch

  1. Anfangen. Jede Figur beginnt bei Newcomer. Händler handeln zum ausgeschilderten Preis.
  2. Ruf sammeln.

Auf One Life

English

In short: Standing measures how well a city knows you. In the game your standing with Lanterhall counts: you build it with quests and with the event in Brinescar. With each rank, from Newcomer to Kin, prices at Lanterhall's vendors get lower.

How it works

  1. Starting out. Every character starts at Newcomer. Vendors trade at the posted price.
  2. Earn standing. Quests give standing with Lanterhall: a conversation a little, an ordinary task more, the end of a chain and an elite task more again, a dungeon task the most. Repeatable tasks and epilogue tasks give none.
  3. Event. The event in Brinescar gives standing with Lanterhall, even when it fails, then less. You receive it once per event and character.
  4. Check your rank. The character window has a “Standing” tab (key U). It shows your rank, how much is missing to the next one and what it brings. At every vendor a line at the top reads like “Lanterhall: Known, prices −4 %”.

Good to know

Rank from standing Discount on buying and repairs
Newcomer 0 none
Known 2,400 4%
Neighbour 7,400 8%
Hearthfriend 17,400 12%
Kin 35,400 16%
  • Which vendors. All vendors in Whitmere, Lanterford Vale and Lanterhall belong to Lanterhall, including the smiths. The discount applies to buying and to repairs.
  • Cheap goods. Very cheap goods get no discount.
  • Messages. When your standing rises, the game says so in chat and shows the rank briefly; for a new rank with a discount a notice appears once at the vendor.
  • Ranks below. Below Newcomer lie Wary, Barred and Shunned. In Barred and Shunned vendors will not trade with you. In the game there is no occasion for this so far.
  • Other groups. Further groups are intended: the other cities of the Concordat, the places of the Free Banners, the traders of Saltcross, the Hedge and the Tidemark Survey. They are not active in the game yet.

On One Life

Standing is earned the same way on One Life. If your character falls, the standing goes with it; on Haven it stays after death, see Death, ghosts and the Wickkeeper.

Example

You have completed tasks in Ambercombe, Reedhouse and at Tidemark Post and reached Known. At the smith at Tidemark Post the line at the top reads “Lanterhall: Known, prices −4 %”. When repairing you pay four percent less, and the notice “New: −4 % here” appeared when you reached the rank.
